Samal Island (Gonzalez) Coastal Study

AMH was engaged for the coastal engineering assessment of this family-owned beachfront property in Samal Island, Davao, intended to determine the extent of beach sand retention and possible improvements of the existing coastal structures (i.e. groins and seawall). AMH services included the conduct of numerical wave field simulations based on bathymetry, tide and wind/typhoon conditions bearing on the site to determine extent to wave action as basis for mitigation measures.

ZSL-CMR Pedada Bay Coastal Engineering Study

This coastal study forms part of ZSL's Community-based Mangrove Rehabilitation (CMR) Project which intends to increase growth survival of the mangroves along Pedada Bay, Iloilo. AMH was engaged to determine the local wave heights around the project area through wave field simulation, and to develop designs of wave breakers which are intended to provide protection to the mangrove planting areas.

Coastal Study for Hondura (Puerto Galera) Beachfront Development

AMH was engaged by Jolliville Holdings Corporation for the proposed resort along the coast of Hondura Bay in Puerto Galera. The project called for the conduct of preliminary engineering design of coastal structures (Hondura).

Coastal Study for Caticlan (Aklan) Beach Development

AMH was engaged by Akean Resorts Corporation for a proposed resort along the coast of Caticlan in Aklan. The projecs called for the conduct of coastal oceanography studies, hydraulic characterization of sea grass.

Coastal Study for the FLI-Ocean Cove & Seascape

AMH was engaged by Filinvest Land Corporation (FLI) to conduct a coastal engineering study for its Seascape Resort Town Project in Mactan, Cebu and Ocean Cove in Davao. The former requires the assessment of the wave climate of the site with emphasis on beach sand retention as well as runup effects on the proposed offshore facilities. On the other hand, checking on the stability of shoreline is the main concern for the Davao project.

Bathymetric Survey & Coastal Engineering Study for Private Cove (Boracay) Resort

Vinnell-Belvoir Corporation engaged AMH to conduct bathymetric survey along the coastline of Private Cove located at Brgy. Manoc-manoc, Malay in Boracay Island as data for the study of the site's oceanography and wave climate. Simulations prevailing waves were also conducted to ascertain the stability of beach sediments against wave action.

Coastal Study for Blue-Sky Sea Resort

The main objective of the coastal study is to identify areas along the shoreline of the property where a sandy beach could be developed. Bohol Blue-Sky Sea Resort engaged AMH to find a suitable area for this purpose and determine the conditions and parameters for subsequent engineering design. The study also served as a supplementary basis for the coastal assessment, conclusions, and recommendations.
