Technical Support Services for the Modesta-Silangan System Project First Balfour Inc. engaged AMH to undertake various support services required in connection with the ongoing implementation of this design-build project for Manila Water Co., Inc. in San Mateo, Rizal. Various technical assistance works were rendered for three components - the reservoir site, the pumping station and the main pipeline. Services included slope stability analysis/design and site drainage, structural (foundation) systems and civil works design for structures such as generator pads, waterway crossings and pipe supports. Geotechnical Assessment for the Pagbilao Power Plant Ash Lagoon 6 Project AMH was engaged by Team Energy thru PTCC to undertake geotechnical engineering assessment of the 700MW Pagbilao Power Plant Ash Lagoon 6 Location 2 located in Isla Grande, Ibabang Polo, Pagbilao, Quezon. The proposed ash lagoon is the second site being looked into to replace Ash Lagoon 5 by 2012. Liquefaction and slope stability analyses were conducted in order to come up with a cost‐effective design and optimize the height of the embankments of the impoundment. Structural Design for the Boracay STP Upgrade Project AMH was engaged by M.E. Sicat Construction, Inc. as design partner for the upgrade of the existing Boracay Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) facility owned and operated by the Boracay Island Water Company (BIWC). The project is intended to accomodate the increased sewage flow brought about by continuing developments within the island. The structures designed included the primary settling tank, sludge dewatering equipment and control room, grit chamber, chlorination tank, splitter box and other appurtenances.; Civil Works Design for the Balara Sludge Treatment AMH was engaged by MES Construction, Inc./Biwater (Malaysia) as design partner for the civil works design and construction quality control of this special facility which is intended to collect and process washwater from Filters 1 & 2 and sludge from the from the Settling Basins inside the MWSS Compound in Balara, QC. The project is intended to control the quality of discharge into the existing waterways and collect the dried up sludge material for proper disposal. AMH was tasked to undertake survey works, detailed designs of all chamber, pipe support, tanks and other structures, as well as provide quality control support for MES/Biwater in the course of the project implementation. Pump Station & Reservoir Design for the Kalayaan Booster Station Upgrade AMH was engaged by MES Construction as design partner for this design-build project of Manila Water Co. Inc. for the planning and design of this pumping station facility and 2ML reservoir. Located within the City of Marikina, this is intended to support the increasing requirements for this Business Area. Structural Design for the Capacity Optimization of Balara WTP 1 & 2 (Pilot Works) AMH was engaged by MES Construction and Biwater Ltd. for the structural design/retrofit works for the Pilot Project of the Balara WTP inside the MWSS Compound. Works included general assessment of this structure built many decades ago and analysis and the preparation of structural details in order to support the new treatment process which will be introduced by MES/Biwater. The first of about twenty containment structures was the subject of the Pilot Works, including designs of supports for launders, baffle walls, concrete bridgeways, etc. Pump Station & Reservoir Design for the Kalayaan Booster Station Upgrade AMH was engaged by M.E. Sicat Construction to provide technical and management support for the implementation of this flagship project of Manila Water Company, Inc. which aims to provide potable water to thousands of households in the City of Antipolo.
