AMH was engaged to render consultancy services for Pacific Aluminum Holdings, Ltd. in Western Samar.  The services included the identification of possible port sites, highway alignment leading to the bauxite mine areas and preliminary bridge and drainage structure design.  The mine area is considered strategic and vital, being the only significant source of aluminum ores in the Philippines.  Estimates of its geologic reserves go up to 242 million tons, with average grade of 40.80% Al2O3 (alumina).  The mining facility is expected to have a ten-year lifespan with reserves believed to be worth up to $25 billion.
