Scour Potential, Slope Stability Analysis & Riverbank Armor Design for Orange Grove AMH was engaged by Filinvest Land, Inc. in 2002 to conduct a study which will determine measures to arrest the scouring of existing slopes of the project, which is situated beside a river. The consultancy services included hydraulic and geotechnical modeling and stability analysis, which was used as basis for determining the requirements for riverbank armor.
Coastal Study for Caticlan (Aklan) and Hondura (Puerto Galera) Beach Development AMH was engaged by by Akean Resorts Corporation and Jolliville Holdings Corporation for the proposed resort along the coast of Caticlan in Aklan and Hondura Bay in Puerto Galera, respectively. The projects called for the conduct of coastal oceanography studies, hydraulic characterization of sea grass (Caticlan) and beach sediments at the site and preliminary engineering design of coastal structures (Hondura).
Geotechnical & Geologic Assessment for Resort & Subdivision Developments AMH was engaged to undertake geotechnical and geo-hazard assessment for resort developers in various locations, some as part of the requirements for the application of an ECC and the planning of appropriate system for remediation of potential slope failure. Services included field investigation and stability analysis (including modeling of slopes and determination of applicable schemes. Studies were rendered for the following resorts:
Coastal, Geologic/Geotechnical Study for the FLI - Samal Island Beach Development
AMH was engaged by Filinvest Land Corporation (FLI) for the conduct of coastal, geologic and geotechnical studies related to a proposed beachside project, located in Samal Island in Davao. Aside from field investigation, the coastal study for the project also included the calculation of tsunami run-up values and the determination of groin locations. The geologic study component included geologic mapping, geohazard and seismic assessment, while the geotechnical assessment included the characterization of subsurface conditions.
